Kristy has acquired over a decade of experience connecting and partnering with children and their families. Kristy’s holistic, individualized approach is paramount to helping her clients evolve to their highest potential. Kristy has obtained bridging training for PROMPT, an evidence based approach to remediate speech production disorders. She connects deeply with children who stutter and addresses the whole child, including the socio-emotional concerns that frequently co-occur with stuttering.
Kristy also has a special interest in targeting emotional regulation and social language skills with children; many of whom are experiencing anxiety and behavioural difficulties. Kristy infuses her personal interests in meditation, breathwork, mindfulness and yoga into her speech and language sessions, as she is Talk Yoga Certified, with the added intention to empower her clients to effectively build coping skills that are centered in love and gratitude. Kristy brings her 14 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist to her evolving role as co-owner of New Earth Wellness. Kristy is passionate about counseling caregivers and brings her empathic and intuitive nature to every interaction. Her experience of a personal health crisis several years ago led her to become a women’s health coach. Kristy’s ebb and flow journey from sickness back to wellness not only allows her to be relatable to her clients, but it has gifted her the skills to mindfully hold space for and empower her clients based on their individual needs. From her holistic lens, Kristy envisions the use of the Harmonic Egg technology as a gentle and individualized way to assist in integrating each person back with their physical, emotional and spiritual selves. When we are more fully integrated, our nervous system is regulated, resulting in a sense of calm, which translates to a more mindful, focused child who is ready to learn and to a replenished caregiver who can be more fully present with their child. |
