M.S. CCC-SLP Speech Language Pathologist
Emily is a speech language pathologist in Los Angeles, California. She completed her undergraduate studies with a major in Communication Sciences and Disorders at James Madison University, and earned her master’s degree in Communication Disorders at William Paterson University of New Jersey. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in California through the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
Emily began her career in 2018 working in the school system with children in grades Kindergarten-12th grade and young adults ages 18-21 in the district’s adult transition program. Since transitioning into private practice, Emily has begun working with children under 3 years old with speech and language delays. In addition, she specializes in fluency and articulation.
Emily is a certified Talk Yoga ™ provider, and prioritizes incorporating yoga and mindfulness with traditional articulation and language therapy. She is passionate about all things yoga, mediation, mindfulness, and connection, and most importantly, making yoga accessible for children of all abilities. She believes we are able to reach our full potential when we are connecting with our bodies, minds, and other people. When she is not doing speech therapy, she enjoys hiking, camping, reading, live music, and exploring California with friends.
Emily owns a small pediatric private practice in Los Angeles, California, where she provides services for children ages 0-10 specializing in early intervention, fluency, articulation, expressive/receptive language, and social skills.
Emily uses Talk Yoga during her therapy sessions to build language skills and teach articulation techniques and sounds. She also uses it for emotional regulation, relaxation, and increasing self awareness and self esteem.
